This document is intended as a warning of events to come, and is not intended as an indictment of the people involved in these events. I grew up believing the majority view of events to come. That which is popularized in the left behind series in which there is a Rapture, then tribulation, then the second comming, followed by a millenium of peace on the earth. This is not what the Bible teaches. Here in brief and stripped of the symbols is what the Bible teaches will happen.

Some History

The books of Daniel and Revelation describe the history, and future, of the world, and the christian church, begining with Babylon, and continuing to the end of time. When Daniel was written, it was all still future. When Revelation was written, the Savior had ascended to Heaven, and the future of the church was laid out before John.

In Daniel chapter 2 a great metal man is described. The head of Gold represents Babylon. The chest and arms of silver represents Medo-Persia. The belly and thighs of brass represent the Greeks under Alexander the Great. The legs of iron represent Pagan Rome. The feet of iron mixed with clay represent the nations of Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire. The 10 toes represent modern Europe under the Catholic Church. The stone cut out without hands is the kingdom of God set up on the earth.

What is happening now in prophecy.

The United States, the beast with two horns like a lamb which speakes as a dragon (Rev 13) is currently changing from the lamb form to the dragon form. Teacher led prayer is forbidden in schools, and current laws require teaching homosexuality as a valid alternative lifestyle in some areas. Students are being taught that we are nothing more than evolved animals, contrary to the biblical view in which we are created in the image of God.

What is next on the horizon.

Here is what the prophecies in the bible say about what is comming. The Catholic Church is the little horn in the book of Daniel. In Revelation, the beast with Seven Heads and 10 horns, and the harlot, are used as symbols for the Catholic Church. The United States is represented by the beast with 2 horns like a lamb which speakes as a dragon. In the near future, the US will throw it's power behind the Catholic Church, and enforce the false worship which the Catholic Church commands on the entire world. Those who do not fall in line with this false form of worship will lose their jobs, have their property confiscated, and be denied the ability to buy or sell. Falling in line with this legislated false form of worship is what constitutes receiving the Mark of the Beast. The Seal of God is given to those who offer true worship, even though it is outlawed. Note that everyone is marked, both true believers and false worshipers. Additional laws will be passed decreeing that those who offer true worship should be put to death. At this time, the 7 last plagues will fall. God true children will be protected through these plagues. Once the plagues are done, Jesus comes for his church. According to Revelation, things will be so bad that if Jesus did not come back, everyone would die. When Jesus does come back, the righteous will be caught up to meet him in the air. The unrighteous will cry for the rocks and mountains to fall on them, and they will die. During the millenium, there will be no living people on the earth (Jeremiah). Satan and the evil angels will be left here with no one to tempt for 1000 years. At the end of the millenium, God brings the New Jerusalem down from heaven to land where the current city of Jerusalem now sits. He will then resurrect the unrighteous dead. When the unrighteous dead attack the holy city, God begins the great white throne judgement. Everyone will witness this, both righteous and unrighteous. The righteous will be inside the city, and the unrighteous outside the city. When everyone, including Satan, acknowledges that Gods judgements are just and righeous, and bow down to him, then he will set fire to the planet, and everything outside the city of God will be burned to ashes. This is hell, the lake of fire spoken of in revelation. When it says the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever, it is not speaking of duration, but perspective. The smoke will ascend out of sight.
